@prayerroom_: Dry begging is when someone wants something from you... Money. Help. Favors. Attention. Resources. But instead of asking directly, they drop hints and hope you offer. And once you learn to spot it, you start seeing it everywhere. --- 1️⃣ HE CONSTANTLY TALKS ABOUT HIS PROBLEMS WITHOUT ASKING FOR SOLUTIONS Every conversation somehow circles back to his financial struggles, his bills, his bad luck, or how hard things are right now. Not once. Not twice. Constantly. You'll be talking about your day and somehow the conversation ends with another story about how he's struggling. He may never ask directly... but he's hoping you'll volunteer help. --- 2️⃣ HE MENTIONS THINGS HE CAN'T AFFORD "I wish I could get that." "I've been wanting one for so long." "Too bad I can't afford it right now." He plants the seed and waits to see what you'll do with it. A lot of women end up offering because they feel uncomfortable watching someone they care about go without. --- 3️⃣ HE TALKS ABOUT WHAT OTHER WOMEN DO FOR THEIR MEN "My friend's girlfriend bought him..." "Some women really know how to support their man." It's often less about the story and more about seeing whether you'll feel inspired to do the same. He's testing the waters without putting himself in the vulnerable position of actually asking. --- 4️⃣ HE ALWAYS SEEMS TO HAVE A CRISIS His tire. His rent. His phone. His business. His transport. There's always something. And somehow you're always hearing about it shortly before a payment is due. After a while, you start noticing the emergencies never really stop. --- 5️⃣ HE MAKES YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR HAVING MORE THAN HIM You buy something nice and suddenly he's talking about how hard life is. You go on a trip and he reminds you how he's struggling. The timing isn't always accidental. Some people know guilt is one of the fastest ways to get others to open their wallets. --- 6️⃣ HE PRAISES GENEROUS WOMEN A LOT He constantly talks about how much he respects women who "hold a man down." Women who help. Women who sacrifice. Women who support. Pay attention when someone keeps advertising the kind of treatment they'd like to receive. Sometimes they're describing their expectations without actually saying them. --- 7️⃣ HE NEVER ASKS DIRECTLY (THE CRACK IN HIS MASK) This is the biggest giveaway. People who genuinely need help usually ask clearly. "Can you help me?" is honest. Dry beggars prefer hints because if you don't offer, they can pretend they never asked. It protects them from rejection while still creating pressure. That's the crack in the mask. Because it reveals that the goal isn't honest communication. The goal is creating enough guilt, sympathy, or pressure that you offer help without them having to take responsibility for asking. Once you notice this pattern, it's hard to unsee it. --- 8️⃣ HE DROPS HIS BANK DETAILS TOO EASILY You didn't ask. Nobody brought up money. Yet somehow his payment details, mobile money number, or account information keeps finding its way into the conversation. It's almost like he's making it easier for you to "decide" to help. --- 9️⃣ HE BECOMES EXTRA SWEET WHEN HE NEEDS SOMETHING Suddenly he's attentive. Complimentary. Checking in more often. Then a few days later the real reason appears. You start noticing that the affection seems to increase whenever a problem needs solving. --- 🔟 YOU FEEL PRESSURED TO HELP WITHOUT HIM ACTUALLY ASKING This is the feeling most women notice first. Nobody requested anything. Nobody said "can you help me?" Yet somehow you leave the conversation feeling responsible for solving his problem. And that's exactly why dry begging works. It creates obligation without accountability. --- A man needing help isn't the issue. Life happens. Everybody goes through difficult seasons. The issue is when someone uses guilt, hints, pressure, or manipulation instead of honesty. --- What's the worst example of dry begging you've ever experienced? 👀

Vaprs :
It's word choice for me. It's "we" need to buy something. "We" should do this or that. "We" means me. If he is going to do something, it's "I" am doing or buying. I listen for the manipulation now.

Honestly that felt gross to read. I'm the princess, I refuse to compete for that position from someone who's supposed to be my strong king. He needs to man up and stop asking to be pampered little boy

This is not man behavior, it’s passive aggressive immaturity of a boy that did not grow up and now wants a woman to be his mother.
