to me it felt like an anti-hero dove straight into villainy cause he descended further and further into madness, and by the end of the movie he was too far gone. once he offed her husband that made it set in stone that he’s a villain

I like that the original Matt Hagen in the comics is just a guy who gets powers, and his first thought is to hire henchmen and rob places, because that's what you do when you get powers in Gotham.

I was worried a big clay monster was gonna look so dumb and unbelievable but the way they gradually show him changing and becoming more the monster made the final act completely believable. Really loved how they took their time with his downward spiral

I had a conversation with my friend after seeing the movie. he pointed out that the club scene at the end had horror music playing. in a regular revenge story it would have been some fast paced music to hype the audience. I talked about how this was a movie without a perfect victim. yeah, those are mobsters but Matt, by that point, is a monster.

This felt like a pre-Batman Gotham. Idk when it's supposed to be set, but Szabo was NOT moving like he knew Batman was around. In Creature Commandos, a radioactive skeleton who could flash-melt lead with his bare hands GASPED at the mere sight of the Batman.

did they actually call Clayface Matt Hagen in CC, I honestly can't remember? I feel like the two acted differently enough that I can understand that its either two different people because Corr said that cosmetic company stole her tech. OR the movie takes place so long ago that Matt is much older now (like closer to Alan Tudyk's age now)
