Same thing happened to me, only it was a 15 dollar tip and they family told me it was for my vacation, I was taking my daughters on a trip to the east coast the next day, my manager wouldn’t let me have it.

This concept is so wild to me, I’ve worked several places as a waitress and each place has told us to take the tip from the register as soon as you’ve reconciled the receipt with the card machine. Receipt goes in the drawer to reconcile the drawer at the end of the night. wtf?!

some managers need to not be managers. it's one thing if it's policy that you can't leave more than 100% gratuity, it's another thing to suggest that one of your employees is performing sexual acts and or telling the customer that you're just not that good of an employee
