@starsalign23: This striking piece, "Blue Water Lilies" (Nymphéas bleus), was created by Claude Monet between 1916 and 1919. It's an oil on canvas and can be found at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, France. Monet completely removes the horizon line and sky, choosing instead to focus tightly on a section of his water garden pond at Giverny. The loose, expressive brushstrokes and unfinished edges give this work a strong abstract quality, which significantly influenced Abstract Expressionists after WWII. #ClaudeMonet #ArtHistory #MuséeDOrsay #Impressionism #AbstractExpressionism
