@vt: Sylvester Stallone isn’t pretending his daughter didn’t get a helping hand in Hollywood, and he has a very blunt message for anyone who has a problem with it. Scarlet Rose Stallone, 24, plays Spencer in her dad’s Paramount+ crime drama Tulsa King, and her role has grown in the new fourth season, with her character now a series regular. Addressing nepotism accusations in an interview with USA Today, the 80-year-old laughed off the criticism. “First, they go, ‘Nepotism is terrible.’ I said, ‘Oh please, you’re not a good parent if you haven’t performed a little nepotism. Then obviously you don’t care about your kids, because they come first,’” he said. “Of course it’s nepotism, you idiot. That’s why we’re parents. We want the best for our children. So obviously we let them have every advantage.” He did admit, though, that a foot in the door only gets you so far, adding: “Can they maintain that level of excellence? That’s out of our hands.” Scarlet has appeared in the show since its first season, playing opposite her father’s character, Dwight “The General” Manfredi. She recently said working together had brought them closer, describing their relationship as having done “a complete 180”. #vt
