hapy birthday johann caspar schmidt #egoism #stirner #philosophy #anarchism #illegalism In the early 1910s, a group of radical French outlaws known as La Bande à Bonnot changed the face of crime forever by pulling off the world's first motorized bank robbery. Long before Hollywood glorified the concept of the high-speed getaway car, this group of militant anarchists weaponized the cutting-edge technology of the Belle Époque to terrorize the French establishment and outrun a completely unequipped police force. To understand why the Bonnot Gang became a media sensation, you have to look at the massive technological divide of 1911. At the time, the French police still relied heavily on horses, bicycles, and their own two feet to patrol the streets. Jules Bonnot, the de facto leader of the gang, was a highly skilled mechanic and former military chauffeur. He recognized that the newly invented internal-combustion automobile was the ultimate tool for asymmetric warfare against the state. On December 21, 1911, the gang put their theory into practice. They stole a luxury Delaunay-Belleville limousine in Paris and drove it to a branch of the Société Générale bank in Rue Ordener. Armed with state-of-the-art repeating rifles and semi-automatic pistols, they ambushed a bank courier, stole a massive sum of cash, and sped away before the authorities even realized what had happened. It was a staggering logistical shock to society. The media instantly dubbed them The Auto Bandits because the police literally had no vehicles fast enough to chase them. The group did not view themselves as ordinary criminals or thieves. They were deeply embedded in the radical philosophy of illegalism, a branch of individualist anarchism. Adherents of illegalism argued that capitalism was an inherently violent, criminal system that theft from the wealthy and the state was not a crime, but a form of direct economic redistribution and political protest. They lived communally, abstained from alcohol and meat to maintain peak operational alertness, and consciously chose a life of violent resistance over conforming to a capitalist society. The name La Bande à Bonnot was actually coined because of Jules Bonnot’s sheer audacity. Growing tired of how the press portrayed the group, Bonnot casually walked into the headquarters of the major newspaper Le Petit Parisien while heavily armed. He demanded to speak with the journalists to correct their reporting, leaving a signed letter warning the police that he would fight to the death. The newspaper printed the encounter, and the gang became a household name overnight. For months, the gang mocked the authorities, crossing back and forth over the French and Belgian borders to execute daring robberies, raid gunsmith stores, and engage in deadly shootouts with the police. However, their reliance on a network of anarchist safe houses eventually led to their downfall. The French state launched one of the largest manhunts in its history, turning public opinion against the group by painting them as bloodthirsty terrorists rather than political revolutionaries. By the spring of 1912, the police tracked Jules Bonnot to a safe house and garage in Choisy-le-Roi. Hundreds of police officers, soldiers, and armed citizens surrounded the building. Bonnot held them off alone for hours, writing his final will and testament as bullets tore through the walls. The siege only ended when the authorities used dynamite to breach the building. Weeks later, the remaining core members met a similarly violent end during a massive standoff at a villa in Nogent-sur-Marne, where five hundred soldiers resorted to explosives to neutralize them. The surviving members were put on a highly publicized trial in 1913, with several facing the guillotine, bringing a definitive and bloody end to the world's first era of motorized banditry.
#Outfit Tips for Bad DaysSometimes, even on rough days, dressing well helps me keep a confident and respectful vibe. I keep it simple, neat, and stick to neutral colors. Wearing a good outfit can really set the tone, even when I’m not feeling my best. My go-to formulas are: 1. Smart casual — navy, black, or white Oxford shirt with rolled sleeves, khaki or black chinos, no rips, paired with loafers, Chelsea boots, or white sneakers. Add a leather watch and sunglasses if I want a calm yet confident look. 2. Monochrome minimalist — black fitted T-shirt, slim-fit jeans or dress pants, matching overshirt or chore jacket, with black boots or sneakers. It keeps me looking focused and a bit mysterious. 3. Old money clean look — earth-tone linen or polo, beige dress pants, white sneakers or penny loafers, a leather belt, and neat hair. Looks mature and effortless. Remember, fit is everything. Dark and neutral colors give a serious vibe, neatness counts, and accessories should stay minimal. Hope these tips help, even on a bad day. #baBadDayEdition #BerwibawaDuluBadDayKemudian #OutfitTegas #CleanLook
