They also conveniently ignore the fact that there are civilizations that are continuously existing, like China. They are claiming then that after the “flood” a bunch of Noah’s kids ran off to China and quickly started a civilization and changed their Semitic features, language and culture to Chinese and dropped all recognizable links to the Middle East.

Now I might not be the wrong person to say this, but when translating the Bible into english, One word was used as father in English than it's more other reasons (grandfather, great grandfather etc.) so the ark could have been longer ago than it's clearly stated

Also, ancient societies thrived and lived through the time that the flood supposedly happened. When you mention this, Christians will say it wasn't a global flood but it felt global to the people. They make excuses for everything wrong in their book.
