@mrs.setitoff: I remember the first time I opened up about my DV experience on the internet I got sooo much ridicule. So many people thought I should be embarassed to share “something like that” but shame whooo?! Shame is not something I carry lol. If anything, I am proud of my resilience and the woman I’ve become since leaving. Though circumstances may have been unfavorable to me, I still graduated, still got my dream job, still kept it pushing and most importantly, I’m still doing the work to heal. I still don’t understand why it had to be me, but I trust in God’s plan for me. And if you vex I posted this, go cry to your mother, idgaf 😄
