@thesameerproject: Everyone at The Sameer Project’s Refaat Alareer Camp knows Amir. His infectious energy, his dancing, his smile, and his larger-than-life personality make him impossible not to love. Amir faces significant medical challenges, including a defect in his hard palate (the roof of his mouth). But with the dedicated support of our onsite occupational therapist and physiotherapist, he continues to make incredible progress. Even the determination it takes to learn to drink through a straw, blow up a balloon, and improve his speech when the roof of your mouth hasn't developed properly. These are milestones many take for granted, but for Amir, each one is a victory. This is why rehabilitation matters. This is why consistent care matters.
