I agree with this! So many women say they want a partner but then throw all the providing on the man and then say he didn’t meet her “standards”. Standards for others should be routine practices you as a person already possess. Therefore becoming partners means both of you show up, mutually meeting in the same place of life and growing from there. That’s the team, the partnership. If your standard or expectation is that you stop providing for yourself and expect him to do it, that’s not partnership. That’s dependency lol

One of my friends from high school married a guy who took care of her out of the kindness of his heart. They eventually got divorced and he became more possessive even after so. They're still having custody battles over their kids. I'm just saying.🤷🏻
