@radiothomefm: NAROK CATTLE THEFT SUSPECTS ARRESTED AS OWNERS TRACE ANIMALS TO MWEA Residents from Narok have staged a protest in Wang’uru, Mwea, Kirinyaga County, after tracing cattle they claim were stolen from their area. According to Mwea Sub-County Police Commander Henry Gitonga, the residents alleged that 21 head of cattle had been stolen in Narok and transported to Mwea. The owners proceeded to Murubara in Githinjiro, where they reportedly recovered 14 cattle, although the suspect allegedly escaped. Gitonga said two people had been arrested in connection with the incident, one reportedly a herder and the other a buyer. Investigations are ongoing to establish the whereabouts of the remaining cattle. The aggrieved owners vowed to remain in the area until all their cattle were recovered, raising concerns that the animals could be slaughtered and sold locally.
