Oh, you don’t understand emotional intimacy! Not an accusation! No one teaches us about this explicitly. In order to have a solid, long term relationship with strong passion, you have to have the deepest conversations. “What are your fundamental beliefs? What are your dreams? What are your hopes?” If you can align on those, and assess people’s honesty by digging in and really questioning those, you can move the process MUCH faster. They will weed the people out that won’t work really fast. If they don’t know the answers, they won’t work. You can’t be aligned with a life partner if you haven’t figured those out.
