@thereal_kiyosaki: Good grades are one of the most expensive things you’ll ever earn. Let me say that again. Good grades... can cost you a fortune. In 1973, I made a decision that changed my life. I call it my biggest unfair advantage. I’ll tell you what it was in a minute. But first... think about what school actually trains you to do. School trains you to be an E. An employee. Or an S. Self-employed. A doctor. A lawyer. A specialist. Get good grades. Get a good job. That’s the plan. And people get angry when I say this... but that plan was designed to make good workers. Not rich people. Here’s the problem. School grades you on what you KNOW. The real world pays you on what you can DO. Two different report cards. My rich dad never once asked about my grades. Never. He asked me a different question. And that question is the reason I’m sitting here today. Hold onto that. Because there are three subjects... THREE... that the rich study their whole lives. And school never teaches any of them. Most people don’t realize this. A straight-A student can graduate from the best university in the world... and know nothing about money. Nothing. That’s not an accident. So... 1973. Instead of going back to school for an MBA, I started taking classes most people never heard of. How to use debt. How to sell. How to legally reduce taxes. Those are the three subjects. Debt. Sales. Taxes. The rich use debt to get richer. The poor use debt to get poorer. The rich sell. The poor wait to be hired. The rich use the tax code. The poor pay for it. And rich dad’s question? He didn’t care what grades I got. He wanted to know... what did you LEARN? Are you ready for the real world? That’s the difference. SCHOOL asks, “Did you pass the test?” The real world asks, “Can you survive without a paycheck?” Most people spent sixteen years preparing for the first question. And they’ve never even heard the second one. That’s why most people stay stuck. #richdadpoordad #robertkiyosaki
