My daughter is 10 and she is wanting to do the same. I know there are adults that use this as a kink so I don’t allow it but also a part of me is kids like to dress up and being a cat is a cute girl thing. My daughter love cats and kittens. Reads warrior cat books. I hate to ruin that for her also because some nasty adults. Do I think there is anything wrong with children wanting to dress up? oh no these comments are making me so sad… you parents need to be there for your child through all the phases because i promise you they will be phases unless you don’t let them then your child will never trust you or feel actually loved unconditionally… this happened to me, i got kicked out cuz i couldn’t follow their “rules” i know that if they would have just supported me through it we would still have a good relationship n i wouldn’t have been homeless at 16, and about the furry part furries are literally just cosplay usally of their own characters they draw (oc’s) therians are the weirder ones who like think they are actually an animal, from what im hearing she just want to be a normal furry please just be supportive in this phase<3 you are also allowed to set boundaries like just keeping this at home and furcons:)

Half these comments don’t need kids…. she should be supported. Do the research, engage, ask her questions find the potential dangers (if any!), have that conversation and let the kid be sheesh unless mom wants to open a can of resentment.
