My whole family is from Salgueiro, and the infrastructure and politics is really bad. My parents moved out when they were in their early 20s and never moved back, only coming back to visit their family. People are sweet, but living there is rough

I’m sorry, as someone who was born and raised in Salgueiro, I cant just let you go around saying that our city is one of the most dangerous cities in the country. Thats BS! Its a small and simple town in Pernambuco, and that’s it. Rio de Janeiro, that you gringos know and love, is far more dangerous. What really happened is that you guys got ripped off by Carcara, and they failed to provide you with decent accommodation. Have you seen the former owner’s house?? Showing only the place you stayed, makes people think that all of us live like that, and you know thats not true. So please, dont come here, spend just 3 weeks and act like you know the place enough to start trashing us on social media. Thanks 😉

Hey just FYI dont say that about the acommodations u recieved. Honestly thats better than a lot of what the locals have. Could be better? Of course. Meets the standard of housing that A LOT OF PEOPLE LIVE IN and are glad for it. By the way, why would anyone in Salgueiro have a hot shower? The water boils itself with the scorching heat. Anyways, dont refer to peoples houses like that next time. You might have not liked it, but you dont need to offend MANY who live under similar situations
