I agree. I keep hearing biracial people use this narrative. I’m black & I don’t fit in with all black people either. We don’t all click. I’m sure all white people don’t all click with each other either. What is that even about? I associate with people in general that I vibe with…. that I have things in common with. 🤷🏾♀️😲

my father is Black and my mother is white I used to think like that because my father would tell me I was "special" for being light skinned. he had a lot of self hate for his black skin and wanted me to feel accepted by the "white side". I never was and I know he was trying to protect me but it took years to unwind my "uppity" attitude. oh and I don't call my self half and half anymore, I'm just Black

Mothers are so influential on their kids lives, that it will usually be difficult for someone that’s biracial w a white mom. They will behave and interpret the world through a white lens but almost always present as a POC.

I have a black mom and white dad too, and look black-passing af yet black people viewed me as a waste of blackness for only being half of it, your experience isn’t universal and the hate to white mom biracials is overblown af when many black people look at us as white dad biracials like our moms don’t matter ☠️
