@earthsignalofficial: October 25, 2026 | Eastern Pacific, off Southwest Mexico Hurricane Vance has begun to weaken after peaking as a major hurricane, but forecasters say its threat to Mexico is growing. On Saturday morning the National Hurricane Center put its winds at 105 mph, about 430 miles south-southeast of Manzanillo, moving north-northwest at just 6 mph, with gradual weakening expected through Sunday and a possible re-intensification Sunday night or Monday. The center expects 3 to 6 inches of rain through Thursday in Colima and western Michoacán and Jalisco, with isolated totals near 10 inches, and warns of life-threatening flooding and mudslides on steep terrain. Swells are already bringing dangerous surf and rip currents to southern and southwestern Mexico. Mexico's weather service forecasts Vance to be a tropical storm near Manzanillo by Thursday. #HurricaneVance #Hurricane #Mexico #EasternPacific #EarthSignal
