My vet did this too, but I held her so close that it got all crinkled up and her bladder emptied on me. I know this seems really weird, but I kept those leggings and never washed them bc I it’s the only smell I have left of her.

We wrapped our girl up in one of our favorite blankets and it went with her because I couldn't bear thinking of her being cold while she awaited cremation. 😭

My girl did a wee and a poo on me after she passed. I didn’t mind. I cleaned us both up with all the love I wished I could give her for the rest of my life. I told her I didn’t mind, and kept holding her until she had to go. My lovely little sunshine.

My vet asked to put my golden retriever half in a garbage bag because he “might pee”. That was an immediate no. My next dog was euthanized in my backyard in a blanket under a tree and I will never do it another way again.

I remember when we took my nans dog to be put down and on the drive home with the body we realised it had released its bowels. But we never said anything. We cleaned her up and brought her back to my nan for the burial.

My dog pooped herself after not pooping for days leading up to her death because her muscles were finally able to relax. I felt awful for her. I was sobbing.

I got to hold my Sparky baby in my arms when he went to sleep, and long after he was gone. they even let me get him comfy on his bed when I left so I knew he was going to feel safe when he was cremated

When our cat, Lily was kicked by a horse we took her to the vet where, sadly she had to be put to sleep. On the way home my daughter sat with her on her knee in the car. When we lifted her out she peed, we were so devastated it didn’t matter 😢

My girl didn't eat or drink for 2 weeks. She passed in my arms around 2 in the morning. We had our last sleepover that night. She was 17, i was 19. I had her my whole life.
