The reason it hurts so much to watch them is that Hideo’s/Tae-woong’s protective instinct is also his biggest weakness. He has already taken a literal bullet for her and consistently uses his position to shield her from the authorities. The fear isn't that he doesn't love her—it's that he loves her too much and will gladly trade his life for hers if it means keeping her safe. But I’m still hopeful. Let's cross our fingers that the writer chooses to give us a beautiful, romantic escape rather than putting us through the emotional wringer like Youth of May and Snowdrop!😭🌸
