THINK AGAIN. 🏠💀 Some gaps are there for a reason, and sealing the wrong ones can actually cause MORE damage than leaving them alone. ❌ Air vents — Blocking airflow can create serious problems. ❌ Window weep holes — These allow trapped water to drain. ❌ Toilet bases — Don't seal over an existing leak. Follow local code and leave a leak-detection gap where appropriate. ❌ Expansion joints — Don't fill them with rigid caulk. Use a flexible, joint-rated sealant when sealing is appropriate. ❌ Roof shingles — Random caulking isn't a substitute for proper roof repairs. ❌ Electrical outlets — Never caulk into receptacles or block access.
