What happens when you reach a bend in the pipe

Well uh main reason is some pipes have branches. But for very long straight without those and hopefully no tree growth should work… I relined my clay ones by simply shoving new ones inside

now you got all the hard bits from the old pipe surrounding the whole line causing wear and possible leaks over time

29 year professional here…. When the new pipes regardless of material are drug through sharded clay, cast iron, terra-cotta, and Stone, chances are it will scar up the jacket on the new pipe, causing an eventual premature failure. I’ve witnessed this type of damage thousands of times.

This works very well. Remember every lateral and tee must still be dug up and tied in the new pipe. Great for sewers in town.

So constructive… but don’t complain if your house floor pops

It’s useless if you have any fittings or connected pipe or a bend. So really for all intensive purposes it’s useless 96% of the time.

Is the replacement pipe flexible or are we talking about adding couplings every X feet depending on access space?

The broken fragments will penetrate the new piping also

this is not a fix, this seems like a potential problem creator for short term use

Sometimes that pipe is considered a hazmat such as sewage lines
