I’m running in NW MO District 2. 5 counties with 3 hospitals. Nowhere to deliver a baby. This is a crisis. (I work in rural/critical access hospitals and she is spot on)

Same as down here in southern Illinois. My family had to wait 4 hours for an ambulance transfer from a critical access hospital ER to a pediatric hospital in STL because of limited ambulances. And some ambulance services require pre-authorization from Medicaid prior to transfer.

In Carrollton, IL at the Greene County Health Department, they had to discontinue their in home health services because they had a hard time being able to adequately pay their nurses. That area is extremely rural. You can't get anywhere without a vehicle or else you're walking busy and long highway roads!

I had appendicitis a week ago and at Jerseyville the completely forgot to give me potential life saving antibiotics until right before I was transferred and then they didn’t even wanna use an ambulance and told us to drive ourselves there. Smh

As a level IV NICU nurse it’s always been a thing for peds but for laboring moms? We’re seeing lots of issues. I hate it.

Calhoun County, a neighbor to Jersey County has no hospital whatsoever. We rely solely on JCH for most of the county should something happen to us

This administration doesn’t care about regular people. But hey, according to them they have lowered drug costs by 1200%. Meanwhile I’m now paying $567.63 every 90 days for my insulin and cgm instead of the $100 I used to pay. They are truly trying to price us all out of existence. They are even pretending we are worth having around.

When the EMS workers are getting paid Pennies to do the job of a physician/nurse they are leaving in droves! It’s a multifaceted problem. No funding for ambulances and hospitals and not enough skilled providers to staff the ambulances
