@sabrina_ramonov: Hit follow and tell me: Would you bootstrap or raise? VC expectations sound unreal. At a TechCrunch investor panel, I heard investors say going from $0 to $10M in annual recurring revenue no longer excites them. They were talking about companies racing toward $100M quickly. As a bootstrap founder, I see $10M ARR as an enormous business. A profitable company is possible without following a venture capital growth plan. I also heard investors discuss large companies still trying to maintain product-market fit. A big revenue number doesn't mean the work is finished. Do startups need venture capital? What does $10M ARR mean for a founder? Is bootstrapping to millions possible? #startups #bootstrapping #venturecapital #founders #saas
If I’m reaching $10M ARR at any point I don’t care about the VC’s. They’re making themselves irrelevant.

Investors are telling me they won’t get out of bed for under 50 million. So if you need 1 million or ten million to start up your company, they’re not interested.

As someone who's made it. You'll be surprised how little $1m is after you make it

Yes this is why myself and my cohost launched a series called Founder Confessions! Our most recent episode is covering a founder who just quit her corporate job in May and her and her co founder are going to do $5.5 by the end of the year!

We did $1b/ARR at the last company I worked for after joining in their startup days. Aiming for anything less for what I'm building would be too low - the goal is to dwarf it 🤘
