EP.28 | The Child They Threw Away 🌍 The Five The witches step over Udeh’s body in the corridor and leave Adaeze lying unconscious on the cold stone as the cell door clangs shut behind them. In the great hall, the crowd is restless and the drums have stopped. The three witches glide down the aisle, and one nods to Nnamdi, who tells the crowd it is time to break the bond. The witches kneel around a carved ring with a crescent at the center of the stone floor, hold their hands above it without touching it, and chant in low unison. The ring rises from the floor, glowing dull red, and a wind sweeps in from nowhere with smoke pouring through the doors, candles guttering and people screaming. The witches stop chanting and the wind dies. In the silence, slow footsteps come through the smoke, and five shapes stand in the doorway, with the crowd straining to see who they are. The smoke fades to show five old women, patterned wrappers and carved staffs, with Mama Ebele among them, upright and unafraid. The first of them exhales and says with a smile, “It’s good to be back.” The Gemini Coven stare in shock, and Nnamdi goes still and clearly afraid. #foryoupage #fyp #foryou #anime #tiktok - @ssm_animmelodies
