@anna..papalia: ⬇️ Use this script in your next job interview to answer “What are your salary expectations?” 😱Companies ask you this question because they want to underpay you. They are hoping that you give one number like, “I am hoping to make $70k”   There is NO reason why a company should NOT tell you what the position pays and there is NO reason that they should make you tell them what you want to be paid BEFORE they tell you the range of the position.   So don’t fall for it and play the same game by answering their question with a question or giving them a non-answer.   📌Use this script,   Interviewer “What are your salary expectations?”   You “ What is the position paying?”   Interviewer “We really need to know what you want before we pass you on to the next round”   You “Well, what’s the range? I am sure you have a pay range for this position.”   STAND YOUR GROUND and DON’T PANIC   👉If they answer and give you a range, you can say “I am amenable to that range” or “That is the range I am looking for”   👉If they refuse to give you a range or tell you what they will pay you can say, “I’m very interested in this opportunity and I’d like to have this salary conversation after I’ve learned more about the role and the company.”   If they threaten to not pass you on to the next round, great! You dodged a bullet. Trust me, you don’t want to work for a company that won’t in the least disclose their salary range.   Good luck 🍀   #joboffernegotiations #salarynegotiation #jobinterview #careertipstiktokcontest

Is it ok to wear the same suit to the same interview twice? Only full suit I have is black and gray. I’ve been watching your videos and i know black is out, and navy with khakis is out. I had a video interview already and wore my gray suit not thinking about it and I have an in person interview on Tuesday. Do I rock the gray with a different tie? (Btw I’m applying for a test engineer position)

I always uno reverse them and say “I was just about to ask you about the salary range you guys allocated to the position” it works but if they say “we don’t have have a range allocated I just wanted to see what your expectations were” then they’re either not really hiring or want to LOWBALLL you 😵‍💫

Pay range should be discussed in a first conversation. No sense in wasting either person’s time.

Not true. We ask so you don't go through an interview and then get offered and it's not close to what you can accept. Most organizations have a formula they use to calculate the rate based on experience.

If they press me I just say the market range then explain why I command the top of that range. If they can’t accommodate that then boo hoo. And I know what number I’ll take in my head.

I don't agree with that! If u know your worth, say a high number based on your skills and if the company doesn't want to give the salary u want, than the company doesn't worth .
