For the seniors who are already actively keeping strong legs and want more of a challenge: If you've been doing bodyweight squats for a while, you've probably noticed they're not as hard as they used to be. So you end up doing 30, 40, or 50 squats just trying to feel something. And it takes forever. And honestly, it's boring. Here's the truth: your body doesn't need more reps. It needs more resistance. And you don't need weights or a gym to create that resistance. You just need to shift more of the load onto one leg. This single-leg eccentric squat to a chair forces one leg to do most of the work on the way down, which makes it significantly harder without adding any equipment. And because it's harder, you'll build more strength in less time without doing endless reps. Here's how you do it: Stand in front of a chair or bench. Extend one leg out in front of you, knee straight, foot flexed. Keep your weight on the other leg; that's your working leg. Now slowly lower yourself down to the chair using only that working leg. Control the descent. Don't just drop. Your extended leg stays out in front the whole time. It's not helping you, it's just there for balance. Tap the chair lightly with your glutes, then stand back up. Now use both legs (equally) to stand back up. The magic is in the slow, controlled lowering - that's where you build the strength. Do 5–10 reps per leg. That's it. No need for 50 squats anymore. This one move replaces dozens of regular squats. It's harder, it's more effective, and it saves you time. God gave you a body designed to move, to serve, and to stay strong. Let's honor that by training smart, not just hard. No gym. No weights. Just you, a chair, and a smarter way to train. Comment SQUATS if you're going to try this. 👇
