At the start, you can just sell everything to a vendor. The auction house will be flooded with low-level junk.

My understanding of how the forever AH works is the last thing listed in the pool is sold first, if your listing cheaper and your items sells and you went 30c cheaper you just lost out on 30c If your trying to make money you sell for the current price, undercutting only hurts the people who undercut.
