@mnalrp: Go back in time and see the nation’s first president’s house. George Washington’s Mount Vernon was such a beautiful place to visit. So much history to learn. I was very honored to be able to see it. My love for the musical Hamilton made me want to come here. I’m so very glad I did! No videos were allowed inside the house, but pictures were ok. Does anyone know why? So, here’s a slideshow of each room that I saw. My favorite was the Little Parlor. It was just sooo quaint, and I love love love the wallpaper. They have tours in the house every 30 minutes or so, so you get to learn a little bit about each room. It’s open everyday from 9 AM to 5 PM. It’s $30 per adult ages 12 and up, $16 per child ages 6-11, and it’s free for children ages 0-5. This is the entrance fee for the whole estate which includes the mansion, gardens, Washington’s tomb, Slave Memorial, museums and more! You just need a separate ticket for the mansion tour, which you can avail when you buy your tickets up front. This is located at Mt Vernon, Virginia.
