Those were Holly's words to her daughter, Halle. A promise from a mother who had just said goodbye. Halle had been waiting on a liver transplant. Before it could happen, doctors found leukemia, and the surgery was canceled. What followed came fast. Swelling in her brain. Organ failure. Chemotherapy, started while her family prayed her liver would bounce back. Holly and her husband never stopped fighting for their daughter. Neither did her doctors. But the complications kept coming, and Halle's body could not keep up. She passed peacefully. Holly held her.
