What bothers me the most is how much shit lesbian women get because of boiling down sexuality to gender, lesbian women who like butches constantly get told “why is she with a butch she looks like a man. Just be straight”. That is a woman. She could cut her hair, wear a suit, and do whatever else- and that is a woman. Her womanhood is not defined by her style.

I totally agree as a trans woman.. i think when a guy is attracted to a trans women from their looks just like you said are straight, but once a guy is intimate with one they’re gay! Literally all it takes is to ask a guy if he likes femboys or twinks and 99% of the time theyre still attracted to men!

Another data point to add to your statement is how in places like India or Iran the concept of "transitioning" was pushed specifically to superficially hide LGB or sex-based stereotype non-conforming women and men from view. Iran pushes body modification in the name of sex-mimicry and are a leader in medical operations.
