The battery’s 200 MWh / 50 MW design works out to about four hours at its rated output. The 2022 environmental review projected about 775 acres of forest clearing. That is a planning estimate, not a verified final clearing count. These maps show approximate planned solar areas over October 2023 imagery. The airport lease includes 50 delivered electric work vehicles for Dulles and Reagan National, plus 18 electric buses anticipated in late 2027. The truck pictured is an illustrative model, not an airport fleet vehicle. As checked October 25, 2026, Dominion still lists the solar farm under construction, with operation anticipated in 2026.
