Stop glorifying prescription medication as the answer to every mental health struggle. Medication can provide relief, but it doesn’t necessarily address the underlying issues you’re dealing with. It isn’t a cure for everything, and relying solely on medication without working through the root causes isn’t always a long-term solution. Real improvement can also come from learning to help yourself, addressing unhealthy patterns, seeking therapy and making meaningful changes in your life. Medication has its place, but it shouldn’t be portrayed as the only path to healing.

I’ve TRIED. when I was a freshman in college I went to the school’s hospital inside the campus because it’s free for students, and I got diagnosed again and got prescribed antidepressants. it didn’t fucking work. then I tried again 2 years later because I got worse again, it didn’t work then either!!! only 1 year after I graduated from college at age 25, I got a LOT worse so my parents took me to a psychiatrist in a real hospital I got diagnosed with ADHD and tried Concerta. guess what!! the side effects were so bad I had to quit it!!! now 5 years later I still don’t know how to manage my fucking ADHD!!!!! I still don’t have a job, I got fat, don’t have friends and still live with my family I’m so FUCKING TIRED OF EVERYTHING
