He cut you off clearly by merging over 2 lanes which is obviously illegal!!!! Ideally and legally he had the right to only turn into the closest lane to him on the right then he should have signaled and waited for you to go through and merge over another lane

Uh. I’m scared for the people making excuses for the other driver. They had a red light. They didn’t stop. They turned in front of someone who had the right of way. They did not turn into the curb lane and switch lanes. So many things wrong. It’s not even a tiny bit of a whoopsie.
