my brain is my product. a company pays me for it. many people have companies pay for their bodies for more manual tasks. is the real issue they have with who is paying, or is it the type of work being done. “degrading” is extremely subjective and that definition should be left to the person who is doing the work.

The upshot of it all is that if you ask people who call s*x "sacred if they've ever actually been proactive about it and taken basic "Human Sexuality" courses or even just picked up books on it, they're gonna say no because they assumed "sacred" automatically equaled care and competency 🤦♀️

The difference is getting nude for strangers opens the door for them to view you as a sexual object, whereas other professions aren’t getting naked so if they are objectified sexually, it is considered a violation.
