@ayyabate: There is a reason our ancestors honored the final harvest. In ancient Celtic traditions, Samhain marked the end of the harvest season and the transition into the darker half of the year. It was a time to acknowledge the cycles of life, honor the dead, and prepare for the stillness of winter. Spiritually, this time of year represents the cycle of death and rebirth. Not necessarily physical death, but the death of old identities, outdated beliefs, unhealthy attachments, and versions of ourselves we have outgrown. Think about nature. The trees release their leaves. The earth becomes quieter. What appears to be an ending is actually part of a much larger cycle of renewal. We are not meant to be in a constant state of blooming. Just as nature has seasons, so do we. Psychologically, this can be a powerful time to reflect on what we are carrying, what we have learned, and what we are finally ready to release. Spiritually, it invites us to trust that periods of darkness, uncertainty, and stillness can be meaningful parts of transformation. So while I make this butternut squash soup and reflect on the final fall harvest, I invite you to ask yourself: What version of yourself are you allowing to die so a new one can emerge? . #Samhain #CelticTraditions #DeathAndRebirth #SpiritualAwakening #ShadowWork
