@ashleytheesti: It’s heartbreaking to see how many shootings have been happening in our town. What happened to the days when people could feel safe in their own neighborhoods, when kids could play outside without their families worrying, and when people could go about their daily lives without wondering if they would make it home safely? Behind every shooting is a family, a mother, a father, a child, or a friend whose life may never be the same again. There are innocent people who are scared, families who are grieving, and children growing up in a world where violence is becoming far too normal. This is NOT normal, and it should NEVER be something we just learn to live with. We shouldn't have to fear for our children's safety every time they leave the house. We shouldn't have to worry about a loved one becoming the next name on a list of victims. And we shouldn't have to watch our community fall apart while people act like this is just another day. Our town needs change. Our community needs healing. We need people to put the guns down, walk away from senseless violence, and realize that one bad decision can destroy countless lives forever. We may not be able to control everything that happens, but we can speak up, look out for one another, teach our children that violence is never the answer, and refuse to accept this as our new normal. Enough is enough. Our children deserve to grow up feeling safe. Our families deserve peace. And our town deserves better than another shooting, another tragedy, and another family left asking WHY. 🙏 Praying for every victim, every family affected, and everyone in our community who is scared, hurting, or tired of living this way. Let's bring some peace back to Muncie before another family has to bury someone they love. 💔
