Throne of glass is her best series. But book 1-3 can be a struggle for some. Specially after acotar. But kingdom of ash is one of the best books I have read.

She wasn’t allowed to have a moment but cassian was allowed to destroy a whole town and stew in his depression for like over 100 years when his mum passed. I dislike most of the characters now. I feel like that’s why we keep getting new povs hahah. They are such hypocrite’s.

god dont read TOG if your found the characters in acotar unbearable. the fmc in TOG is awful. shes just a horrible character. smug, self righteous, and for someone who's supposed to be amazing she fails at every turn. im on book 3 and ive resented every minute. SAVE YOSELF!

I’m feeling kind of the same way - really enjoyed books 1,2,3 and 4 was ok and now I’m reading Silver Flames and I feel like it’s just not hitting the same?? The only character I care about is Lucien and he is barely in this one. I’ve already preordered the next two so I’ll read them, but I’m finding Silver Flames so cringey! Like cassian talking about how he, Rhys and Azriel are among the ONLY people to complete the blood rite and they - of course - took the hardest route to the top of the impossible mountain and completed it together. And, yes, of course the magic-less Illyrians gain magic for exactly one night a year to conduct the blood rite. And cassian is constantly going on about how much sex he and Rhys and Azriel had with lots of people - even mentioning that they did it in the same room as each other sometimes ?? EW??? Idk idk idk

This is spot on! I have my fingers crossed SJM has done it intentionally and I’m all of an inner circle villain arch to make it make sense. I will be reading ACOSH though😅

I hated the way everyone treated Nesta! I only read acotar now for the side characters- I love Nesta (ik she isn’t a side character anymore but I’m still including her) Lucien, Gwyn, Emerie, Eris! I hate all the main characters apart from Cassian tbh

I would recommend listening to the graphic audios if you’re struggling to read it cause they are genuinely really good and you can do other stuff at the same time !

I have so many issues with SJM that I won’t read those books. If you want a really good duology with well written characters check out A Fate Forged in Fire & A Queen Crowned in Flames by Hazel McBride.

I'm not planning on continuing the ACOTAR series and I'm not buying book 6! I have other books that I would rather read instead. TOG is just OK. There are better fantasy books out there.

I completely agree. I read the first three years ago and then just kept re-reading them loved them. Because there was such a gap even though it's supposed to be the same series, to me silver flames is the start of a completely new series, I haven't even ordered the new books and it just seems really disappointing and heartbreaking because of how much i loved the first books. But definitely read ToG I know loads of people say the first ones were a struggle to get through but I honestly love them. Celeana is so fleshed out in comparison and yeah i just love the first books for their vibes it just feels a lot more different than acotar. But I'd honestly love for Sarah to write a series based on the vibes of the first two books! ♡

I re-read ACOSF as well and I kept bursting out laughing, I forgot how ridiculous some of it was. So glad the ACOTAR series got me back into reading again but I think I’ve moved on, I don’t love it as much as I did when I read it the first time
