We do Santa in our house but 1 or 2 gifts from Santa and the rest from us. And i get one different wrapping paper for the “Santa” gifts.

I teach my kids not to lie and I’m not about to be the person to lie to my kids. We love the nostalgia, the magic of the characters. We watch the movies etc. I also think it’s important for my kids to understand the value of our hard work and the the value of a dollar. Money isn’t magic. We also do 5 gifts. Read, wear, need, want, and an experience period. We focus more on quality time, baking, movies, crafts during the holidays. I’m also not putting my kids on a stranger in a costume lap.

My son asked when he was 5 if Santa was real. I was like ok here’s my chance to tell him the truth! Lol but he didn’t believe me so he kept believing for awhile

My son is 1 right now but I do want to tell him that Santa is real because growing up for me I never had that “magical” experience of Santa.

We did but in looking back I see it different now especially since some can afford different gifts for their kids. Hard to explain why Timmy got an iPhone and Samantha wanted an iPhone but got a doll. I’d say explain him being the spirit and feeling of Christmas but that the gifts are from you is my opinion. 😁😬💚❤️

My kids are older now, but yes, While santa and the magic of Santa was real, Santa did not get all the credit. Everything under our christmas tree came from mommy and mommys hard earned money lol Santa brought ONE small gift for each kid on christmas eve. In our house, santa didn't bring electronics or large/expensive gifts. He was one person with one slay and one bag, and one night to deliver toys. He did not have enough time nor room to be carrying bikes and scooters and basketball goals for millions of kids and obviously the elves didn't make that type of stuff anyway 🤷🏼♀️

Do it, the kids who didn’t believe in Santa were so bitter their parents didn’t do it with them so they tried to ruin it for me, but I was so whimsical I kept the magic alive within me regardless and believed as long as I wanted to 🙂↕️

Also with the spirit of santa, you get to do all the other fun santa things like baking cookies to leave out the night before. My kids and I made reindeer food to sprinkle out in the yard the night before. I got to do the fun little things like leaving footprints next to the tree, and waking up my kids up at night to try to catch Santa But unfortunately, we missed him every time lol
