Oh lord, not the bbq center! I can’t with them either. When I tried them, there was way too much fat and gristle in their bbq. I like Randy’s restaurant and Stamey’s the best for bbq

I always get the Q Soup and a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. Dip the sandwich in the soup and it's amazing!

DJ needs to learn his NC bbq- there is eastern style and Lexington style, sometimes known as Western style. The BBQ fest celebrates Lexington style BBQ. This isn’t Texas or KC- so you’re not going to get ribs and brisket. Lexington style is pit-smoked pork shoulder w/ a red sauce called “dip” which is tomato based. Eastern style is pit smoked whole hog w/ a vinegar sauce and a white slaw. Next time ask for coarse chopped w/ brown which is adding the skin to meat which has that nice smoke flavor. Also try the restaurant “Lexington Barbecue” off of 64
