does it look like they’re throwing up the food? Could be eating too fast or could be the food or going too long between meals could do it too

I have a friend of mine, whose cats actually have allergies to fish and any wet food that has any kind of fish in it even if it’s a sub ingredient will make them sick

I have two that are food motivated and one kept throwing up right after he ate any food. It happened almost every other day. I recently changed the dry food to the hills science hairball urinary it’s smaller kibble and he hasn’t had one episode. Same with the wet food. I have them both on the same diet, it’s pricey but easy since they eat the same wet and dry food. Also they both groom eachother which causes them to hack up hair balls randomly. And it’s all hair now it’s it food like before. I add hairball stuff into the food once a week.

I have one boy who decided he didn’t want wet food at a year old. I add toppers to his dry food to add moisture. TikiCat mostly.

Maybe a slow feeder? They might be eating too fast. Maybe their tummies are just sensitive so adding probiotics and/or pumpkin to their food may help.

Def switch the food, Purina has a history of making pets sick. My cats eat only Nulo wet food. They've been strictly on this brand and have had no issues. Our vet also recommends this food. In addition, have the vets do a stool test. If you have any questions def please ask Im always happy to help a fellow cat mom.

Get a slow feeder. Period. I had a cat constantly throwing up and as soon as I switched to the slow feeder, it stopped.

How fast are they eating? Also slowly introduce them to the food it takes time for them to adjust to the food you can’t just switch them fast .

Don’t mix or change their food..offer wet food separately..offer fresh water every time you feed..the wet food could actually be too rich for them…try not giving it and see

So I was using purina but switched to Iams wet food and science diet for dry food and been using homeopathic drops in the wet food and it’s worked REALLY well. But I agree the slow feeder might help if one is worried the other might steal it. A small camera by their food might help also just to figure out which is getting sick

for mine, it helps to give them small portions of wet food multiple times a day (3 to 4). i don’t mix it with the dry food

I think they were getting too hungry overnight and then eating too fast when I fed them. So I am gonna leave some food out overnight for them as a snack and see if that helps. Also got some slow feeders. Thank you all!

Please switch to strictly wet food, but slowly introduce it. It’s so much better for them, and you will avoid a lot of problems. Go with pate kind, add a hairball supplement like pills to it. There’s also probiotics/ prebiotics for them, it’s a pink box. Kibble dehydrates them

You need to stop changing the food. Cats at least most cats. Mine certainly did have trouble digesting different kinds of food. If you buy one brand and a certain flavor stick with that brand. Don’t be changing every couple of days to a different brand in a different flavor. Their stomach doesn’t like that. Also, one of them might be eating faster than the other and sometimes when they eat too fast, they tend to throw up. Of course you should always have them checked out first to make sure it’s nothing having to do with their health, but it’s probably because of the changing of the food.
