I was officially diagnosed at 45. But the signs were there since I was a young child, but my parents never wanted to have me tested. Finally getting diagnosed & being able to work on that specifically has been amazing. 😁😁

The best most informative TikTok page, along with Dr. Rubin, Beachgem, etc. but I have to ask: Darcy, can you please tell me where you got your sweater???? I’ve been looking for one like this everywhere.

Stop it! My phone was in the refrigerator like a month ago! And my doctors keep telling me I need to take a Conner’s test! I mean it’s also been brought up for many years with me but the stigma of it with my ex husband…. I don’t know… I always had anxiety and depression and now my 9 year old does… I don’t know how to break the cycle.

Don’t ask me why but watching this video made me so grateful that none of my kids inherited ADHD from me.

I read a long time ago that dyslexia and ADHD are related because it’s the same part of the brain. Not sure if it’s true but it makes sense.

Both my kids, and both my siblings have adhd diagnoses. I have “executive dysfunction.” I’m taking two classes this semester. My psych course, I worked ahead, read all the chapters, wrote all the discussions, got an A-. I’m now in a Stats class and I’ve washed and folded more laundry and cleaned my kitchen, and vacuumed my whole downstairs, made more dinners… in the last two weeks since I’ve started the stats course, than I have in the last two months.

My wife, my son, and I’m pretty sure my dog, have adhd. I feel like I end up being the executive function for everyone. It’s tiring.

I didn’t get diagnosed until I had 3 male children that were diagnosed 😅 And then my daughter got diagnosed. She had previously been diagnosed with anxiety 🙃 She and I both have inattentive type, where all my boys have combined type.

THIS! My daughter was diagnosed at 7, because she her teacher would have to stop the class to argue with her. She was medicated and it helped her avoid a lot of issues, especially since we have a genetic predisposition for depression

Diagnosed at 26! Just started medications at 31. Mad at myself for not pursuing this earlier because wow the difference I feel in my problem solving, catastophizing, and even emotional regulation…
