@marybehindthesystems: New job, nobody has time to walk you through the shared drive, and you don't want to ask the same question twice. Here's how to point Copilot at the right place so it isn't guessing: 1. In Copilot Chat, hit the + and attach your team's OneDrive folder, or pick the SharePoint site to keep the search inside it. 2. Ask it plainly, like "Find the latest onboarding checklist and tell me who owns it." 3. If you want it to look wider, ask it to check for related docs in other parts of the org. It only shows you what you already have access to. So if it can't find something, that's a permissions conversation, not a Copilot problem. Fair warning, searching across your team's files needs your company to have Microsoft 365 Copilot. On free Copilot Chat, it can only work with files you upload yourself. And please still go talk to your team lol. Copilot can find the file. It can't tell you which version everybody actually uses or who to ask when it's wrong. Who else had to find everything on their own their first month? Comment PROMPTS and I'll send you the Ask It Right guide. #microsoftcopilot #sharepoint #onedrive #newjob #9to5
