@kidrockmusic90: Kid Rock says his loyalty to President Donald Trump has come with a real professional price tag, and he is not disputing it. In an interview with Fox News Digital, the rocker, born Robert James Ritchie, said backing Trump wiped out business he once relied on. “My relationship with Trump, yeah, that canceled all the, uh, any corporate deals coming my way,” he said. He said the fallout extended beyond sponsorships. “I don’t really get invited to be part of, you know, things like the NFL or things like that,” he said, adding that longtime relationships with late-night hosts have gone cold. “All the shows that I was so friendly with over the years, from all the late-night talk shows to my friend Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, I don’t really get invited on there anymore,” he said. Kid Rock did not name a specific deal or booking that had been pulled, and he framed the losses as a trade he was willing to make. “But who’s to say that won’t change … and I honestly, I don’t care,” he said. He said he weighed the risk before speaking out politically and had expected consequences. “I put my country before pretty much everything except my family and God,” he said. The comments came as he promotes his new album, “Halfway 2 Jesus,” a Christian-rock project that includes a collaboration with Eminem despite the two artists’ differing politics.
