It’s a Pinellas thing. Kids programs (sports, arts, etc.) that are underfunded they have to sell usually the “world famous” chocolate bars… it’s just always been that way. As for why so late, that’s just up to the parents 🤷♀️

They are everywhere and I truly feel bad bc these are legit kids doing this like who’s putting you up to this. But at the same time there are nooo boundaries. I’ve been out at dinner sitting outside and they come up to us mid bite to ask for money. I’ve been on the phone and followed into Ulta waiting to hang up to be asked. It’s crazy.

It is 100% a scam. They will come up to you telling you it’s for a football program or a music program or some sort of school program but it is in fact not.
