You are amazing. I just saw you’re a bacterial meningitis survivor. I am as well. In 2004 I almost died, and it happened SO fast, one MD told my husband there was a strong chance I wouldn’t wake from my coma. We had a one yo daughter at the time. I was in and out of the hospital for months, but eventually recovered but with complete blindness in my left eye. Ppl ask if the blindness is hard-yes it is but I also know how serious BM is, limb loss, hearing loss, total blindness, cognitive impairment, and death. I’m so impressed with how you’ve managed and thank you for sharing your experience.

I agree, I’ve used robotic hands and they’re not as useful as you think. body powered means no batteries to charge. Now I’m settling on a passive hand for myself.

I worked at a restaurant in the late 70s and one of our customers had something similar I think. He could just pick money out of his wallet like anybody else. It’s amazing.
