Literally Avatar, Neytiri trains her whole life, is so connected and bonded to Eywa (not touching metal, staying true to her rituals while at the water clan etc) just for a white man to join in and becoming the Eywas favorite. It’s insane

watch buffy the vampire slayer. the ‘chosen ones’ are ALWAYS women and there’s such good commentary on how men are jealous of this power and try to control them because of it.

The worst part is that when a woman finally gets chosen and she is the lead role and isn’t sexualized, people hate the movie anyway. Just look at Supergirl

Kinda Colette from ratatouille too (even though the genius is the rat and not the guy the guy is still the one who comes from nowhere with absolutely no experience and just takes all the merit)

I especially hate it when the female character is obvious hurt and is being rude the whole time, and everyone just says ‘she’s jealous’ like obviously?? Who wouldn’t be if someone stole the life you sacrificed yours for.
