The more I grow, the more I realize that peace isn’t about having a perfect life. It’s about knowing that no matter what happens around me, I can always come back to myself. 🤍 For so long, I think I was constantly chasing something. The next relationship, the next adventure, the next accomplishment, the next version of myself. Always thinking that once I got there, I’d finally feel happy, fulfilled, safe, or at peace. And don’t get me wrong, I still want so much out of this life. I want love, adventure, abundance, new experiences, meaningful connections, and a life that continues to surprise me. I have so many dreams I’m working toward, and I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead. But something has shifted in me over this past year. I’ve spent so much time learning how to sit with myself. Meditating, journaling, healing, letting go of old patterns, facing uncomfortable emotions, and learning to be okay with the unknown. And one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that I don’t have to feel good all the time to know that I’m okay. Some days I feel completely aligned. I’m overflowing with gratitude, love, excitement, and this almost indescribable feeling that life is unfolding exactly as it’s supposed to. Other days I feel lonely. I question things. I get frustrated, impatient, or worried about the future. I miss having someone to share the little moments with. I wonder if I’m making the right decisions or if everything I’m working toward will actually come together. And I’m learning to let all of that exist without making it mean something is wrong. Because none of those feelings are permanent. They’re just passing through. I think that’s what this quote means to me. I’m not the storm. I’m the sky behind it. I can experience sadness without becoming sadness. I can feel uncertainty without losing trust. I can want more for my life while still being deeply grateful for everything I already have. And maybe most importantly, I can desire love without believing that I’m incomplete without it. I’m in such an interesting chapter of my life right now. I’m preparing to move, creating space for new beginnings, working toward financial freedom, deepening my spiritual practice, and learning to trust myself in ways I never really have before. There are so many moving pieces, and I genuinely don’t know exactly what my life is going to look like six months from now. But for the first time, I don’t necessarily need to know. I trust myself to figure it out. I trust that I can handle whatever comes. And I trust that even when life doesn’t unfold the way I imagined, there can still be something beautiful waiting for me. I’m realizing that the goal was never to eliminate the highs and lows. It was to stop allowing them to determine how I feel about myself and my life. I can be excited about the future without needing to escape the present. I can be alone without being lonely all the time. I can let go of something I wanted and still believe that something wonderful is possible. I can have a difficult day and still have a beautiful life. And I can keep becoming a better version of myself without believing that the version of me standing here today isn’t already worthy of everything I desire. Maybe happiness is a feeling, but peace is knowing who you are underneath all the feelings. And that’s what I’m learning to come home to. Not a person. Not a place. Not a relationship. Not some future version of my life where everything finally makes sense. Just me. Exactly where I am, with everything I am, right now. I still want it all. The love, the freedom, the abundance, the adventure, the beautiful ordinary moments, and the extraordinary ones. But I’m no longer willing to postpone my peace until those things arrive. Because life is happening right now. And I don’t want to miss it waiting for something else. 🦋✨ #HealingJourney #InnerPeace #SelfDiscovery #SpiritualGrowth #MeditationJourney
