@not.kierstenburke: Normally I only use wood wicks, so if anyone is interested in a video on that just lmk! 🫶🏼✨🕯️💞🌟 #candles #candlemaking #homemadecandles #diygift #handmadegifts DIY Candle 1. Clean your vessel and secure wick 2. Figure out how many candles you’re making, the amount of wax needed, and 10% fragrance load. (Ex: if you’re making 2 candles and the vessels each hold 10 oz of wax, with a 10% fragrance load, you’ll need 18 oz of wax, and 2 oz of fragrance to equal 20 oz total). Double check your specific wax to see what fragrance loaf it can handle. You’ll also want to check what the flash point is on the back of your fragrance bottle and that it is candle safe. 3. Heat your wax to the recommended pouring temperature listed on whatever brand you’re using. (Typically between 165-190 Fahrenheit). 4. Pour your fragrance into the wax and stir for 2 minutes. 5. Let the candle cure for 72 hours. 6. Trim the wick. 7. Light it or gift it. 🌟✨🌟
