I know it’s stressful to think about, and there isn’t one right way to do this, but given the peeing and that you have another cat (you do NOT want a pee war!), I really encourage you to go ahead and trap her using a humane trap, and then set her up in your bathroom. She WILL freak out at first, but it’s the safest way to introduce her to a household that already has a cat. You don’t know if she has any parasites or worms, you don’t know if she will keep peeing (most likely to merge her scent with your cat’s) etc. If you keep her in a bathroom, you can litter box train her, easily get stool samples to take to the vet to test for parasites and worms, catch her to take her to the vet if needed etc. It WILL be stressful. If you didn’t have another cat, I wouldn’t be encouraging this approach as strongly. Doing it this way is LOVELY and so respectful of the pace that works for her. But, keeping your other cat’s health in mind and the potential for pee wars (I’ve been there, it’s not fun…)… Also, if you have her in an enclosed space, you can actually work with her faster to get her comfortable with you. My credentials are years of fostering feral momma cats with their babies as well as feral cats, several of which I adopted.
