During the 11th year of Hijri calendar, prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallim fell ill during Rabi Al awwal. During this period, the instructions to lead prayer Narrated 'Aishah: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "It is not befitting that a group, among whom is Abu Bakr, be led by other than him." Tirmidhi 3673. There are some other Hadith on this topic as well. Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallim prayed 17 prayers behind him. He Sallallahu alaihi wasallim passed away in few days. The Ansar of Medina had plans to nominate one of their own as leaders of Muslims at this location called Saqeefa bani Saa’ida. It was a garden. It is literally walking distance from masjid nabawi, closer to women’s gates. This garden is where Ansar met with Sayyidna Abu Bakr RA, Sayyidna Umar and Sayyidna Abu ubaydah Ibn jarrah RA. Initially Ansar proposed to have 2 leaders one from Ansar and one from muhajireen, but their discussion ended in the leadership and khilafat being agreed to be given to Sayyidna Abu Bakr RA. This garden is where he was nominated to be the Khalifa. It’s under renovation currently but you can pass by it and see it. #prophetmuhammad #medina #madina #rashidun_caliphate #masjidnabawi

#Caminhoneiro #VidaNaEstrada #CaminhoneirosDoBrasil #Saudade
